Tony M. Roberts
Youth Instructor/Assistant Instructor
Born in Baltimore, MD, Tony Roberts is a Taekwondo Black Belt who met Professor Lamonte Tyler during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Upon meeting Lamonte, Tony immediately started training Muay Thai Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu self-defense techniques. After experiencing drastic positive mental and physical changes in himself, Tony enrolled his younger brother in the Royce Gracie Academy of Randallstown kids BJJ program.
Then, they finally hit the mat for BJJ class a couple of months later, and from there, Tony and his brother saw the effectiveness of BJJ. They both competed and won gold medals together during their first tournament in September 2021. Tony earned his blue belt under Professor Lamonte Tyler. He also earned his brown belt in Judo under Professor Lamonte Tyler in October 2023.
Currently, Tony is an instructor for the youth class at the dojo. You can catch Tony on the mat with his brother, competing in tournaments or fighting in Muay Thai Kickboxing matches.
